Cells, tissue and organs

Cells are the basic units of the human body. They are the smallest and simplest units that grow and reproduce. In this post you read about cells, tissue, organs, heart, of human body.

A tissue is a group of cells that perform specific functions tissues, in turn, group together to form different organs.

The human body is made up of billions of cells. they are the structural and functional units of the body.

Cells are divided into different groups, based on their structure and functions. Bone cells, cartilage cells, and muscle fiber cells are different groups of cells, bone cells, known as osteocytes, group together to form bone tissues.

Cartilage cells, known as chondroblasts, join together to form cartilage tissues. Muscle fiber cells group together to form muscle tissues.

Tissues:-

Tissues are a group of similar cells that work together to perform a particular function. There are four different types of tissues in the human body.

Epithelial tissues:-

The epithelial tissues covers the outer layer of the body. It protects the body organs and seperates them from each other.

Epithelial tissues also form the membrane linings of different organs. Cells of the epithelial tissues are tightly packed and can be of different shapes.

They may be squamous, cuboidal, or columnar in shape and are arranged in single or multiple layers.

Epithelial tissues perform a variety of functions including protection, secretion, absoption, excretion, filtration, diffusion, and sensory reception.

Epithelial tissues are found on the outer layer of the skin and the inside of the mouth and stomach.

Connecti tissue:-

Connective tissue provide support and structure of the body. They are strong tissues that connect the body parts and organs.

They store fat, transport substances, give protection against disesdis, and help in repairing damaged tissues.

Examples of connective tissues are cartilage, bone, blood, ligament, tendons, and the inner layer of the skin.

Nerve tissue:-

Never tissues carry information throughout the body and control most of the body's activities.

Nerve tissue is composed of nerve cells known as neurons that carry signals.

The signals are transmitted from the brain down to the spinal cord to the body.

Examples of nerve tissues are spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and the brain.

Muscle tissue:-

Muscle tissue help in the movement of the body. They are composed of threadlike fibers and are well supplied with blood vessels.

Muscle tissue contain specific proteins, actin and myosin, that allow body movement.

They are present in the muscle throughout the body.

Organs:-

Organs are group of tissues that perform different tasks. The human body contains several organs to perform specific functions.

For examples, the heart is responsible for pumping blood. Several body organs group together to form body system.

Examples of body system include the nervous system, the circulatory system, the digestive system, the skeleton system, and the muscular system.

The human body has different kinds of organs such as liver, brain, heart, kidneys, lungs, eyes, ears, tongue, nose, and skin.

Heart:-

The heart is a muscular pump that circulates blood throughout the body.

It is a pear-shaped organs about the size of a grapefruit located between the lungs.

The heart works continously without stopping.

Skin:-

The skin is the outermost protective covering of the body. It is the largest organs in the human body.

The skin is the thinnest on the eyelids and the thickest on the palms and soles. Skin has two layers, the epidermis and the dermis.

The epidermis is the outer layer and the dermis is the inner layer of the skin.

The skin performs many functions including protection of the body and detection of temperature, touch, and vibration.

Brain:-

The brain is part of the central nervous system and is located inside the skull. It helps in the coordination activities of the body.

The brain is made of billions of nerve cells. Called neurons, and some supporting cells.

The functions of the brain include muscle control and coordination, sensory reception and integration, speech production, memory storage, and the elaboration of thought and emotion.

Lungs:-

Lungs are the main respiratory organs. they are located in the chest inside the rib cage. Lungs are large, spongy, inflatable organs.

The left lung is smaller than the right lung. The main function of the lungs is the exchange of gases.
